摘要： Are described thermosetting powder coating compositions comprised ofblends of certain amorphous polyesters and semi-crystalline polyesters in combinationwith a blocked polyisocyanate, which, when applied to a substrate and heated, arecrosslinked coatings having a combination of features desirable, including excellent gloss,good impact strength and good flexibility. The semi-crystalline polyesters have a Tgbelow 50 ° C, a hydroxyl number between 20 and 100, an intrinsic viscosity between 0.1and 0.5, a melting range between 70 and 150 ° C, an average molecular weight between1500 and 10,000 and a heat of fusion (second heating cycle of differential scanningcalorimetry) greater than 5 cal / g- ° C, and consist of: (i) diacid residues comprising (a )from 80 to 98 mole percent terephthalic acid and (b) 2 to 20 mole percent of dicarboxylicacid residues of 1,4-cyclohexane dicarboxylic acid residue, 1,3-cyclohexane, of residuesadipic acid or a mixture thereof; and (ii) glycol residues containing at least 50 molepercent of residues having the formula -O- (CH2) nO- wherein n is between 4 and 12.
