摘要：The invention relates to an absolute position measuring system for determiningthe position of two objects moving relative to one another. It is the object of the

invention to create a position measuring system which has a wide dynamic range andresolution by means of which the errors of the measuring system are detected and whichensures simplified design and adjustment even with high demands on the measuringaccuracy. According to the invention, the object is achieved by the fact that a bar codecarrier (7) has a track (1), the bars of which exhibit an angular inclination ( alpha 1) withrespect to the direction of measuring (5) and that the area of acquisition of a sensor array(6) has an angular inclination (ss) which deviates from the direction of measuring (5) andthe angular inclination ( alpha 1). The invention is preferably used in high-resolutiondistance and angle measuring systems which require an absolute position determinationwith a wide dynamic range.
