摘要：An antenna system for a TVRO application includes a supporting superstructurefor the main reflector dish which is comprised of a plurality of radial ribs encircled andjoined by a peripheral rim with a triangular rib assembly extending between adjacent
radial ribs and the included peripheral rim for structural strength. This triangular ribassembly may be either a single stamped member, a flat member folded into a triangle,separate members joined at their ends, or separate members joined between the ribswith tabs and curvilinear tabs mounting them with bolts. Alternately, the supportingsuperstructure may be formed by a plurality of ribs which have windows formed in theirsides and through which other ribs are inserted to form the array of the superstructure.In still another alternate configuration, slots may be formed in the ribs to accommodatethe intersection of the ribs in the array. The mesh panels are attached to the supportingsuperstructure by a plurality of integrally formed tabs which are die stamped i the rib, orpart of a separate bracket included as part of the rib, and which are then folded overonto the edge of the mesh panels. A linear actuator and drive linkage is disclosed whichprovides horizon-to-horizon movement of the antenna dish through the use of astandard linear actuator.
