摘要：The invention relates to a method of reworking a transition of a decorative andprotective strip of plastic material to an adjoining planar element, preferably the boardof a piece of furniture. Such an improved method is intended to be executable also bymachine in a continuous operation. For this purpose, most of the excess length of thedecorative and protective strip of plastic material with respect to an adjoining portion ofthe planar element is removed by a machining operation. Subsequently, at least themachined area of the decorative and protective strip of plastic material, which includeswhite fracture areas, is wetted with a multi-component lubricating oil with good creepingproperties, and the residual excess length is then removed by brush rolls and a smoothtransition from the planar element to the decorative and protective strip of plasticmaterial is produced by brushing.
