摘要：Method and apparatus for converting a Non-Return-to-Zero data signal to aReturn-to-Zero transmission signal by modulating the Non-Return-to-Zero data signalwith a Return-to-Zero pulse signal. The method and apparatus provides for the Non-Return-to-Zero data signal and the Return-to-Zero pulse signal to be correctly timealigned by spectral analysis of the transmission signal using a filter and thresholddetector. The detected voltage over a controllable clock delay shows misalignment atminimum voltage levels (410;420). The clock delay of the RZ pulse signal is set to 1/2(T1+T2), i.e. between these misalignment states.
