在英语中,句子的语序通常是主语在前,谓语在后。但有时谓语的全部或者一部分(通常是助动词或情态动词)却提到主语的前面,这种语序叫“倒装”。 2.看下列句子,倒装句可分为两大类:(1)部分倒装;(2)全部倒装。 1)At the top of the hill stands a weather station. 2)Only in the morning can you meet him. 3)Not only did he come, but he saw her.

三、 解难答疑: 1完全倒装
完全倒装就是把谓语提到主语的前面去主要用于下列情况中: (1)在There be结构中。
There are so many things to learn today.今天有很多东西要学。 (2) 表示时间的副词now, then等位于句首,主语是名词。
Now comes a new opportunity. You must seize it.
现在新机会来了。你必须抓住它。
(3)表示方位的副词up, down, in, out, away等放在句首,谓语动词是come, go,run, rush, fly等,主语是名词。
Up went the fireworks into the air. 嗖的一声,焰火上了天。
(4)介词短语放在句首作状语,谓语动词是lie, stand, sit, exist, stretch, come等或系动词be,主语是名词时。
At the foot of the mountain lies a clean stream. 山脚下有一条请澈的小溪。
(5)代词such放在句首,句子的谓语动词是be.
Such is what he wanted.这就是他想要的。
(6)为了保持句子平衡,或使上下文紧密衔接,常将表语和状语放在句首,引起主语和谓语的倒装。
Gone are the days when we used foreign oil. 我们用“洋油\"的时代一去不复返了。 2部分倒装
部分倒装就是把系动词、助动词、情态动词提到主语的前面,其余的动调位于主语的后面。
(1)not only位于句首时,引导的句子用部分倒装。 Not only does he like football but he is also fond of chess. 他不但喜欢足球还喜欢象棋。
(2)not until位于句首时,主句用部分倒装。 Not until midnight did his father come back. 直到半夜他的父亲才回来。

(3)含有否定意义的副词或介词短语位于句首时。 Seldom in all my life have 1 met such a determined person. 在我的一生中我从未见过一个加此坚决的人。 By no means will I give in to you.我决不会向你屈服的。
(4)only位于句首,后接由单个副词介词短语或从句构成的状语时。 Only after his father came did the boy begin to speak. 只有当他爸爸来了后,这个男孩才开口说话。
(5)\"hardly/scarcely.. when..\\"no sooner.. than..\"引导两个分句,hardly/scarcely, no sooner位于句首时。
No sooner had he come in than his son hugged him tightly. 他一进来,他的儿子就紧紧地拥抱了他。
(6 )so/neither/nor句型表示前面所说的内容也适用于另一个人或物。We love having lots of friends. So do those with disabilities. 我们喜欢广交朋友,残疾人也一样。
(7)在if引导的虚拟条件句中含有助动调had, were或should时,如省略if,则将had, were或should等移到主语前构成部分倒装。 Had he known your house, he would have visited you.
他要是知道你的家,他就去拜访你了。
