摘要：A system for communicating with a vehicle using a cellular telephone network,the system comprising a cellular transceiver for placement on the vehicle and operableto cause transmission of an indication of the approximate location of the vehicle using thecellular telephone network, and a remote controller coupled to the cellular telephonenetwork and operable to receive the indication of the approximate location of thevehicle, the remote controller having a database containing a roamer number of aparticular cellular telephone system serving an area including the approximate locationof the vehicle, the remote controller further having a communications device for placingcalls from the remote controller to the vehicle using the roamer number.
