摘要：A cylindrical electrolytic treatment vessel, containing an electrolyte and servingas one electrode (4), rotatably mounts in a concentric manner a cylindrical rotary bodywhich is mounted for rotation horizontally about it's axis. The cylindrical rotary body hasenlarged diameter portions (13) at opposite axial ends and at least the peripheralsurfaces of the enlarged diameter portions are made of an electrically insol- ativematerial. The rotor body has a central smaller diameter portion intermediate of theenlarged diameter portions which is formed of metal and constitutes a second electrode(6). Electricity is applied between the treatment vessel and the cylindrical rotor bodyelectrode. The metal web (1) is rotatably supported along opposed side edge portionsof the web by the electrically insulative surfaces of the enlarged diameter portions of thebody so that continuous electrolytic treatment is effected to the metal web as it passesthrough the electrolyte.
