摘要：A row of aerofoil members for an axial compressor, the row comprises acircumferentially extending endwall and a plurality of aerofoils extending radially fromthe endwall. The endwall is profiled to include an acceleration region and a decelerationregion in a location that corresponds to a position of peak fluid pressure. The
acceleration region is provided upstream of the deceleration region such that fluid flowthrough the compressor and adjacent the endwall is accelerated and then decelerated soas to reduce the peak fluid pressure.
