Helping a Classmate with English Writing。
Hey, so I noticed that John's English essay was a bit rough. I just casually mentioned to him that maybe we could go over it together. You know, like, in a chill way.
The next day, we sat down at the library and I pointed out a few grammar issues. I didn't want to be all \"teacher\" mode, so I just said, \"Hey, this sentence could sound better if you rearrange the words a bit.\" And he totally got it.
After that, we talked about vocabulary. I showed him how using more specific words could really strengthen his writing. I mean, it's not just about knowing the words, but using them in the right context.
One thing I did that really seemed to help was giving him examples from my own writing. I said, \"Here's how I
would phrase this idea. See how it flows better?\" And he nodded, like he got it.
But the coolest part was when he started to apply what we talked about on his own. He wrote another paragraph and it was like, whoa! It was so much better. I told him, \"Nice job, dude! You're really improving.\" And he just smiled and said, \"Yeah, thanks. I think so too.\"
So, yeah, that's。
