一.教材分析
本单元 “Under The Sea“的中心话题是海底世界,听说读写活动都围绕海底的动植物,以及有关的人和物故事展开。课文以两则轶事的形式出现,故事简单有趣,引发学生的兴趣。本课时是该单元的第一课时,包括warm-up和阅读理解两部分,并以此为基础,设计练习,培养学生的阅读理解能力。 二.教学目标
1.知识目标:A.能听说读写一些相关海洋动植物的单词。
B.掌握本课要求的四会单词。 C.学会表达责备,抱怨级要求赔偿。
2.能力目标:A.通过听录音提高学生的听力能力。
B.通过阅读理解练习,提高学生的获取重要信息的能力,提高阅读理解的速度和效率。 C.通过讨论,培养学生的英语表达和写作能力。
3.情感目标:A.帮助学生更多的了解海洋生物。
B.培养学生热爱和保护海洋生物的意识。
三.重点:
A.学习海洋动植物的一些词汇和表达。 B. 掌握本课要求的四会单词。 C.掌握本课要求的四会单词
D.学会表达责备和抱怨 ,阐述自己的观点。
难点: A.通过阅读,寻找相关细节信息。
B.学会知识迁移,小组讨论怎样保护海洋生物。
四.教学过程:(teaching procedures)
教师活动 学生活动 设计意图 Step 1. Lead- in 1.Play a short video show’’ Finding Nemo ” ,and ask: what can you see in the video? 2. Show some pictures of sea animals , ask : what’s its name in English? 3. Show a picture of the killer whales, The students answer the question with some name of sea animals . The students get familiar with the names and learn some words about sea animals. 用动画电影的片段导入,激发学生的学习兴趣。 通过图片,复习已学单词,引入新单词。新旧知识衔接,消除心理压力。 借助图片,采用直观性原则,让学生对虎鲸有初步,表象的了解。 通过讨论图片,预测内容,让学生对将要学习的内容有感性认识,激发学生兴趣。 The students fill in the blanks about the killer whale with then give a brief introduction to it. Show some key information. some blanks on the screen . Step2. Pre-reading Step3. Reading and listening Show a picture on the screen , getting the students to guess : What happened in it? (Collect the students’ ideas about it.) 1. play the tape of the text . 2. Get the students to find out the main idea of the two anecdotes . The students listen and read the passage at the same time, trying to get the main idea of the passage . The students fill in two words to complete the main idea of the two anecdotes. The students guess what may happen in the picture to make prediction to the content of the reading passage. 该环节的听读环节,旨在培养学生的快速阅读,及总结文章主旨的技能。 本环节充分体现英语教学中先听说,后读写的训练方式。 3. Show some sentences with blanks to The students skim the text quickly again and find out (skimming) the students asking : Who did the following things? the answer. Step 4. Scanning 1. The teacher asks some questions about the first anecdote. Show the questions and some sentences on the blackboard ,get the students to find the answer and fill in the blanks. 2. Exercise: Show some sentences about the procedures of hunting whales ,get the students to put them into correct order. 3. Ask two questions about the second anecdote, show them on the screen. The students read the first anecdote carefully again ,paying attention to the details, and then answer the questions about it.(Filling in the blanks) The students read the sentences first and then put then into correct order according to the text one by one. The students read the second anecdote carefully, then answer the questions.(Filling in the blanks) 该环节通过回答问题,完成句子,即训练学生的精细阅读,寻找细节的技能,又让学生熟悉掌握一些四会的词汇。达到在学习知识中获取技能,知识与技能同步提高。 Presentation. 通过一段视频让学生产生视觉的冲击,从而产生情感的共鸣,为讨论奠定基础。 1. The students have a group discussion Some students present their result of discussion to the class 小组讨论有助于集体成员的相互学习,共同进步。 由个人学习到集体学习,由之前的知识的输入的此刻知识的输出,达到有效的知识的迁移。 Step 6. Homework Based on what we discussed in class, write a short passage on why and how to protect sea animals. Write a short passage after class using the message they 通过听说读的训练,达到写got in class. 的技能的提高,由输入到输出有机结合。即增长知识又提高技能。
