It's a sunny Monday morning, and I'm standing in the school hallway with a broom in my hand. The floor is covered with dust and bits of paper, and it's my turn to do the cleaning. I don't mind, though. It's a good way to start the week, and I like the feeling of making the school a cleaner, nicer place for everyone.
As I sweep, I can't help but notice how much garbage there is. It's like people just don't care about keeping things tidy. I wish everyone would take a little more responsibility for their own messes. It would make my job a lot easier, that's for sure.
After I finish sweeping, I move on to the bathrooms. This is the part I like the least, but it has to be done. I scrub the sinks and toilets, trying not to think about who might have used them last. It's not the most glamorous job, but someone has to do it.
Once the bathrooms are clean, I head outside to pick up trash from the school grounds. It's amazing how much garbage can accumulate in just a few days. I wish people would think twice before throwing their trash on the ground. It's not that hard to find a trash can.
Finally, I finish up by emptying the trash cans inside the school. It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it. I tie up the bags and take them outside to the dumpster. It feels good to see the school looking clean and tidy, even if it won't last for long.
Overall, I don't mind doing the cleaning. It's a small way to make a big difference, and I know that my efforts are appreciated by the teachers and students. Plus, it's kind of satisfying to see the immediate results of my work. I may not be the most glamorous job, but it's an important one.
