Pressure is an inevitable part in our normal life. It comes in all shapes and size, and has become pervasive, it seems to penetrate everything and everybody, it is hard to get through a day without hearing or reading something about pressure. On a large scale, many kinds of things, such as financial crisis, inflation, or a nuclear test can cause much stress in our life. On the other hand, according to a online survey, stress may result from the small things: taking an exam, waiting in line, and having too many things to do in a limited time, and so on.
Every thing has two sides, so does stress. We all need stress to add challenge and opportunity to life. A certain degree of stress is beneficial to us, but too much stress is undoubtedly harmful, even to our health.
First and foremost, we need to face pressures rather than escaping from it. There are countless cases of students who could not bear pressures in study, ended up indulging in computer games. Therefore, the importance of a positive attitude towards pressure is hard to overstate.
Once we hold an active attitude towards our life, what we should do is to sort out different pressures, and find the best way to solve it. As for students, the first kind of pressure is from too much homework. This is the easiest pressure to reduce. What we need to do is to manage our time wisely, which means to work hard in our work time, and to relax in any way you like in our spare time. There are some ways of relaxing I recommend. First, to take a walk in a nearby park, during which you can listen to music, experience the nature, with all the troubles left behind. Second, to read a relaxing martial arts novel, I believe the exciting experience of
the main character will clear all your pressures up. Also, chatting with friends is another efficient way of reducing pressure. Besides playing computer games is a way of relaxing. But the type of game is very important. As a Dota player, I don’t recommend Dota, for it takes up too much time to play one round and it keeps you thinking of it all the time.
Another kind of pressure is made by ourselves. Some people always complain about how miserable he or she is, though the others think they are enjoying a happy life. These people give much pressure to themselves. My suggestions are learn to be on good terms with the world. There are people and things in this world that we can do nothing about. So if you realize that a goal is far beyond your ability, just ignore it. In addition, don't try to \"keep up with the Joneses.\" Don't harbor any jealousy, vanity or resentment to others. Be satisfied with what we have.
Of course, these are not necessarily the only ways to solve the problem, different people may have different ways to reduce stress .and it is my hope that everyone can reduce the too much stress in his work and study and live a relaxed happy life.
