摘要：The present invention relates to selection of a synchronization source amongvarious synchronization sources which include sources determining the synchronization
signal from the network such as base stations (network nodes) or user equipments whichreceive the synchronization signal possibly over other hops from the base station, andwhich further includes sources which do not determine their synchronization signal fromthe network. The selection of the synchronization source is performed by choosing thesource with the most reliable synchronization signal based on a metric calculated foreach of the sources considered. In particular, the metric is based on the type of thesource, number of hops between the network and the source and/or received signalquality. After selecting the source, the timing of the device is adapted accordingly.
