摘要：The present invention is directed to recombinant hosts which contain andexpress XhoI and XhoII Type II restriction endonuclease and/or M.XhoI and M.XhoIImodification methylase genes. The present invention is also directed to vectors or DNAmolecules which contain these genes, and to methods of producing these enzymes. Onesource of these enzymes is Xanthomonas campestris pv. holcicola, although othermicroorganisms may be used to isolate the restriction endonuclease isoschizomers andmodification methylase isoschizomers of this invention.
