摘要： An apparatus (20, 120) for forming a heated glass sheet (G) and comprising avacuum mold (22, 22a, 122, 122a) having a surface (24, 24a, 124, 124a) against which aperipheral mold (26, 26a, 126, 126a) presses the periphery of the glass sheet. Thisapparatus comprises at least one vacuum tank (32, 33) which communicates with theinterior of the sealed periphery of the glass sheet to give the glass sheet the shape ofthe surface of the vacuum mold. The valves (38) of a vacuum system (28) preferablyoperate to produce the vacuum impulse into two phases with a limited amount of initialvacuum and an additional amount greater vacuum that communicate first with a firstreservoir vacuum (32) and with a second vacuum tank (33). In various vacuum moldembodiments, the vacuum mold surface faces upwardly and downwardly with convex andconcave shapes. Forms glass sheet comprising rectilinear elements such as cylindrical andconical fittings, as well as shapes having curvatures in transverse directions and reversecurvatures, can be efficiently produced using this pulse forming process of empty.
