tag reader device and a format of patient identification data used by the particularpatient identification tag reader device. An interpreter processes patient identificationdata received from the particular patient identification tag reader device using thereceived configuration information to provide a particular patient identifier. A contextprocessor updates a record indicating that a current patient context, including a patientidentifier, is compatible with the particular patient identifier.
