摘要：In this method for treating circulatory fluid constituents, first a selective

switching means switches the upstream side of a first circulatory fluid treatment device toreceive from a source a flow of circulatory fluid, and switches the downstream side of thefirst circulatory fluid treatment device to send to a destination the flow of circulatoryfluid. Next, the selective switching means, while maintaining this switching of the flow ofcirculatory fluid from the source into the upstream side of the first circulatory fluidtreatment device, switches the downstream side of the first circulatory fluid treatmentdevice to communicate the flow of circulatory fluid to the upstream side of a secondcirculatory fluid treatment device, further switches the downstream side of the secondcirculatory fluid treatment device to send to the destination the flow of circulatory fluid,and further discommunicates the downstream side of the first circulatory fluid treatmentdevice from sending flow of circulatory fluid to the destination. Finally, the selectiveswitching means, while maintaining the sending to the destination of the flow ofcirculatory fluid from the downstream side of the second circulatory fluid treatmentdevice, switches the upstream side of the second circulatory fluid treatment device toreceive the flow of circulatory fluid from the source, and further discommunicates the

upstream side of the first circulatory fluid treatment device from receiving flow ofcirculatory fluid from the source. An apparatus practicing this method is also disclosed.
