摘要： A method of impregnating wood, wherein the wood (1) is placed in a sealedimpregnation vessel to the air (2) and of which the air was evacuated and which issubjected to pressure after the introduction of the impregnating liquid (17). Thereof isintroduced into an airtight seal conditions, and therefore the liquid (17) is free of gas andair when the impregnation takes place. A device for performing the method comprises animpregnation tank (2) containing the timber (1), this vessel being provided with conduitsconnecting it to a storage tank (11) containing impregnating liquid (17) flowing up to theimpregnation vessel. In combination with the impregnation vessel (2) and the storagetank (11), a device used to evacuate air or other gas tanks, wood and impregnation liquid(17). In combination with impregnation tank (2), a device used to increase the pressure inthe vessel, eg. by reducing the volume of the impregnation vessel or by introducing anadditional quantity of liquid using a pressure pump.
