通过句意看：本题强调的是还钱。
句意：你记得把欠玛丽的钱还给她吗？
我记得。我一遇到她，我就还钱给她了。（强调第一时间和第一件事）
Once是强调我遇到她，就还给她。如果遇不到，就不还。
Things got better once he found a job.
一旦找到工作情况就变好。（但如果找不到，就原样，甚至更坏。）
