On the day of Arbor Day, my parents took us to the back mountain to plant trees. When we got to the mountain, my mother found that she had forgotten to bring the new saplings. I volunteered to go back to get the saplings. Not long after I went down the mountain, I felt inexplicably uneasy.
From afar, I saw a snake sticking its tongue at me. It was a rattlesnake! The rattlesnake has a terrible appearance. Its eyes are round like marbles, and its fangs are like two long sharp needles. While I was busy and confused, my father suddenly came to my sight. We carefully backed away and saw that the rattlesnake did not follow us. My father led me back home by another way.
What a day!
